Coping with Anxiety

According to Stats Canada mood and anxiety disorders are one of the most common types of mental health disorder in Canada. In 2013, 3 million Canadian over the age of 18 reported having a diagnosis of an anxiety disorder. Anxiety can be extremely debilitating and may limit your capabilities in several areas of your life. The lingering sense of fear and worry can take over your mind and your thoughts, making it feel impossible to accomplish anything. The good news is you are not doomed to live a life where you are controlled and limited by your feelings of anxiety. This workshop will provide participants with an understanding of the biological underpinnings of anxiety, and the nature of anxious thoughts, as well as tools to cope with and work through moments of anxiety and to find ways to take anxiety out of the driver’s seat and to put you back in control of your own life.

THIS WORKSHOP IS BEING HELD ON OCTOBER 23, 2019 AT KAZA FAMILY CENTRE (1386 DANFORTH AVE., TORONTO) AT  7:30PM TO 9PM. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER
